I'm Up for Shallow Happiness

I believe the occasional dip into pure shallowness is warranted, indeed healthy, especially when one's life tends to be a tad too heavy. Besides, my birthday is this weekend and so you must indulge me (not really, but please). That said, here comes my dream birthday wish list without monetary constraints/children constraints/health constraints/war constraints/pirate constraints/swine flu constraints, etc. You get the gist. So here is my very shallow birthday wish list:

1. A brand new, butter yellow VESPA! (say it with energy or don't say it at all).


2. Soft leather luggage filled with gorgeous, tailored clothes - all in a size 6. Oh, and in my birthday of birthdays, I'm a size 6 without ever doing an ab crunch or eating a salad. Yahooooo!

3. The outside pocket of my luggage has 2 1st class tickets to Portofino and Lake Como. Dear hubby & I will be away for 2 weeks of Italia where I will tan beautifully, learn to cook delicious, native cuisine and come home speaking near fluent Italian. Man, I rock.




Somewhere in all of this, I also learn to tango and samba (not native to Italy, I know!) So many lovely wishes. If only turning 35 and wearing a crown of wire gray hair was enough to deliver at least one of these pretty, shallow wishes.
